We provide research services, advanced test and measurement services, expert advice and product development to help customers exploit advanced materials and manufacturing technologies. As examples, we develop geopolymers providing dedicated solutions in the aeronautical, automotive, racing and nautical sectors (Valentina Medri), or transparent ceramics based on spinel of Mg-Al or of Y-Al garnet for protective windows in the aerospace (Laura Esposito). Using our technical expertise we also develop innovative and cost-effective materials solutions (ultra-high temperature ceramics and their fiber-reinforced composites) for applications in severe conditions such as the hypersonic fly, the re-entry and the rocket propulsion (Diletta Sciti). Our customers may also find in the manufacturing of multiple functionality liquid-repellent smart surfaces with complex shapes (Mariarosa Raimondo).
