The Fluids, Surfaces and Powders Laboratory is an instrumental laboratory in which the measurement of the main physical properties determining the colloidal and rheological behavior of complex fluids are performed, as well as the evaluation of the wettability of surfaces by different liquids, and the measurement of the relevant physical properties of the powders are investigated. There are instruments that allow to measure the particle size distribution, density and surface area of solid particles, instruments for determining the zeta potential, rotational rheometers for measuring viscosity and other rheological properties, optical systems for measuring the contact angle, the surface tension of liquids and the surface energy of solids, and porosimeters for the measure of the porosimetric distribution and water absorption of solids.
