Recover Ingredients
Recover Ingredients is a spin-off of ISTEC-CNR that following a circular economy approach, has designed “green” processes for the recovery of food by-products, and in particular of those from fish and animal slaughter supply chains, and their conversion into high value materials for applications in the fields of natural cosmesis and smart agriculture.
Recover Ingredients has developed 3 products:
MarineBoost: a biomineral based on calcium phosphate extracted from fish bones for cosmetic applications, in particular for skin photoprotection.
Smart-P: a fertilizer based on humic substances and calcium phosphate extracted from animal bones for agricultural applications.
SeaPowder: a calcium carbonate extracted from seashells for applications in cosmesis (as a technical ingredient) and agriculture (as a photoprotective material).
