Maria Caruso is involved in the synthesis, deposition, and characterization of ceramic nanoparticles-based coatings to control the wetting behavior and other surface properties of different industrial materials. Her Ph.D. is focused on the development of coatings with anti-fouling and anti-corrosion properties for naval applications.
