Dr. Irini Furxhi is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoc Fellow researcher exploring the application of New Approach Methodologies in the safe-by-design paradigm for nanomaterials. She was a Postdoctoral researcher at Transgero Ltd, Ireland working under the H2020 EU research project ASINA were she executed data management and FAIRification along with the application of machine learning tools for hazard-based predictions. Irini received her Ph.D. in Machine Learning for the Safety of Nanomaterials from the University of Limerick, Ireland. In her master’s thesis of toxicology (Greece), she assessed the health risk from environmental toxicants using biokinetics modelling.
